THET Fund Engages UTG School of Nursing and Midwifery

As part of its ongoing situational analysis, the leadership of the THET Fund yesterday held a strategic engagement with the School of Nursing and Midwifery under The University of The Gambia’s School of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences.

During the discussion, Associate Professor and Head of Department, Dr. Jainaba Sey-Sawo, highlighted the institution’s key needs, training capacity, and challenges affecting the delivery of quality nursing and midwifery education.

The meeting provided a platform to explore collaborative approaches for supporting initiatives that improve educational opportunities, strengthen community development, and promote sustainable impact across The Gambia.

The engagement provided valuable insights to inform evidence-based interventions aimed at strengthening human resource development in the health sector and enhancing the overall quality of healthcare training in The Gambia.
