The leadership of the THET Fund and 2M Corp conducted a demonstration and technical review of the Grantarium Grants Management System, with senior officials of the Gambia Information and Communications Technology Agency (GICTA).
The session provided an opportunity for GICTA to review the system from a technical and government ICT perspective, given the Agency’s role in providing guidance and oversight for ICT development within the public sector.
The Grants Management System is designed to strengthen the administration and management of grants, including application, assessment, approval, disbursement, monitoring and reporting, while enhancing efficiency, transparency and accountability throughout the grants management cycle.
The engagement with GICTA forms part of the THET Fund’s commitment to ensuring that its digital systems are appropriately reviewed, aligned with government ICT requirements and supported by the necessary technical and governance safeguards.
Feedback and recommendations from the technical review will inform the readiness of the system, and subsequent approval request for use, as the THET Fund continues to put in place strong systems and institutional controls to support transparent and effective management of education financing.
