The THET Fund, in collaboration with the National Roads Authority, The Gambia (NRA) and The University of The Gambia (UTG), conducted a site assessment of proposed bus pickup locations for its students.
The assessment was conducted to determine the most suitable location for the construction of student bus stop shelters under the pilot phase of the initiative.
The project forms part of the THET Fund’s Institutional Foundational Strengthening Programme, and aims to improve the safety, comfort, and convenience of students.
Following the assessment, sites will be selected for the construction of the pilot bus shelters. The initiative is intended to serve as a foundation for future expansion, subject to the availability of additional funding to support similar infrastructure at other UTG bus pickup locations.
