THET Fund’s Leadership Inspires the Next Generation of Girls in ICT

Dr. Jorjoh Ndure-Tambedou participated in the Girls in ICT Mentorship Programme 2026, speaking on women in leadership and encouraging young women to harness AI to drive innovation and community development.

THET Fund’s Executive Director, Dr. Jorjoh Ndure-Tambedou, participated in the Girls in ICT Mentorship Programme 2026, joining a panel discussion on “Women in ICT Leadership” under the theme “AI for Development: Girls Shaping the Digital Future.”

The three-day programme, organised by the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, through its E-Government Directorate, brings together 50 girls and young women aged 15–24 from senior secondary schools, TVET institutions, universities, colleges, youth organisations, and community-based organisations.

The programme provides an important platform for learning, mentorship, innovation, and confidence-building, while equipping participants with the skills and knowledge to engage meaningfully in the digital economy.

During the panel discussion, Dr. Jorjoh encouraged young people to embrace AI creatively and responsibly, urging them to move beyond simply using technology and instead leverage it to innovate, address real-world challenges, and develop solutions that can transform their communities.

“Don’t just use AI; use it to create, innovate, and solve the problems that matter to you and society.”

The THET Fund is proud to support initiatives that empower and inspire the next generation of innovators, leaders, and changemakers, ensuring that young people are equipped to shape the digital future.

Inspire. Learn. Create.
